When you think of milk, the first thing that comes to your mind is a cow. However, the number of people choosing plant-based alternatives to cow’s milk is growing. Surprisingly enough, we are the only species on Earth that consumes milk from another species.
Research suggests that drinking cow’s milk is not as good and beneficial to your body as you think it is. Have you ever wondered why such a large percentage of the population is now becoming lactose intolerant? If cow’s milk was so good for you, why is this happening? There are also many ethical and hygiene-related reasons why we should not consume cow’s milk, but that’s a story for another day!
Hemp Milk nutrition: –
Hemp milk is highly nutritious and loaded with proteins and healthy fats. It has more protein and healthy fats than other popular plant-based types of milk, including rice and almond milk.
Have you ever imagined drinking milk, loaded with unsaturated essential fatty acids such as Omega 3 and 6, and proteins such as Edestin and albumin (the protein that gives eggs their glory), which are very digestible protein sources? It’s one of few plant-based complete proteins, containing all 20 amino acids and nine essential amino acids that humans need from external sources.
Hemp Milk is made from Hemp Hearts, which is highly nutritious and provides many benefits.
Finally, hemp milk is naturally free of soy, lactose, and gluten, making it a good option for people who need or want to avoid these components.
How to use Hemp Milk?
Hemp milk can be used instead of cow’s milk and added to your diet in many ways.
Hemp milk can be consumed independently or added to hot and cold cereal, baked goods, and smoothies.
Due to its creamy consistency and protein content, hemp milk is excellent for making lattes, cappuccinos, and other coffee drinks.
The best part about hemp milk is that, unlike other plant-based milk, you need to wake up in the middle of the night to soak your seeds. You can make it right at home in under 3 minutes and store it in the refrigerator to stay fresh the entire week. So you know exactly what goes into your milk.
